Welcome to my designs page! These are just a few examples of projects we have done over the course of this semester. Enjoy!
Explaination of Zumba flyer:
When I designed this flyer, I took into account colors that would excite people and draw them in to want to read it. I used tools that allowed me to repeat the orange gradient swatch several times throughout the design. I also used the same green in the Zumba logo for the main title on the flyer, as well as throughout the five W's. All in all, I was pretty pleased with how this came out. I already love Zumba, but if I saw my flyer I would at least want to check it out if I didn't know what it was.
Explaination of CD cover:
I took my friend's band's name and basically based my design off of that. I liked using the gradient tool and fading for this design. I think everything blended pretty well. The front is darker and displays the four elements prominently, but on the back you get a surprise with the popping orange color and well as my design of the city skyline- referencing the title of their cd "City Nights". I liked how this came out, and my friend did too.
Habitat for Humanity design:
I think this is my favorite design of all. I liked being able to take several images and fade them out to create a cool layering effect. Habitat is an organization dear to me, so being able to display what they're all about in a creative way was fun for me. I used their two main colors; green and blue. Although it's kind of hard to tell, the picture in the back is tinted slightly blue and faded out to give it a more dramatic effect- but then I used green in the writing to represent their other color. I am overall very pleased with how this came out.
